I was over-involved in high schoolMay 11 2009Language - French/Spanish/etc.
I was over-involved in high school. 3.8ish gpa, marching band, student government. You don't have to do all that, but you have to do well on your SATs to expect any money.

You need around a 3Feb 22 2009Business - Management and Administration
You need around a 3.4 to 3.5 GPa with a decent SAT score. They look at how diverse you are as well. Temple is one of the most diverse schools in the world. I believe its number 3 right now. So do extra curricular and basically make yourself standout because at a time of an economic crisis people are looking for a good school at a bargain price and temple fits that.
SAT: 1700 Male
Temple University is not a difficult schools to getJan 16 2009Biology
Temple University is not a difficult schools to get into. If you got a 1100 Math and Reading and a 3.3 Up GPA your automaticly in. Otherwise, they put you on a "waiting list" but they will amost always accept everyone from that list in April or May. Overall, Temple is a easy college to get into for any average highschool student.

During my junior year of high school I workedDec 08 2008Political Science
During my junior year of high school I worked my butt off to get a 3.65 GPA and was very involved with volleyball. Basically if you are extremely dedicated to one or two aspects of your school and have above a 3.25 cul. GPA you should be good to go!

Temple replied to my application very earlyDec 07 2008Other
Temple replied to my application very early. I would recommend appling earlier than later--their app is very easy to fill out. Recommendations are not very important to TU i think because I made a huge mistake in my recommendations to TU--My teachers thought I was applying to a different college and the letter was about that particular college. I had a 3.75 GPA in high school (to be in TU honors you need a 3.8) and did community service and club activity, but no sports at all. I spent the most time on my essay...remember TU is a huge school and essays on topics like a loved ones death or traveling to spain isn't going to stick out. Try to integrate the morals and ideals of Temple into your essay. Temple is a very artsy-inclined school so creativity is your best bet.
